Lucid Air Sapphire vs Dodge Demon 170 Drag Racing
Most imagine a supercar taking down the Dodge Demon 170, but the Lucid Air Sapphire? The team at Hagerty wanted to find out, so they pit these two vehicles against each other at the drag strip.

The Dodge Demon 170 is powered by a supercharged 6.2L HEMI V8 D170 engine making 1,025 hp and 945 lb-ft of torque, mated to a ZF 8HP90 8-speed automatic transmission, enabling it to hit 60 mph in just 1.66 seconds. As for the Lucid Air Sapphire, this EV is definitely no slouch with its triple electric motor setup (one at the front axle and two motors out back) that generate a combined 1,234 horsepower and 1,430 lb-ft of torque, helping it accelerate from 0-60 mph in a mere 1.7 seconds. Let’s just say that the difference in power between the two vehicles really makes a difference in this matchup.
