Nike Basketball and PlayStation have teamed up yet again for another pair of video game-themed sneakers. Called the PG 5 PlayStation 5 colorway, LA Clippers star Paul George worked with several designers, including Yujin Morisawa, the artist who designed the PS5 console’s, to bring the spirit of his game and the look of the console to life in this creative collaboration.
The tongues of each shoe have both the PG and PlayStation logos on them, while the colors are inspired by the industrial design of the PS5 with references on the sock liner as well as the outsoles. Yes, the iconic PlayStation shapes return, and can be seen along each shoe in the same pattern as on the DualSense wireless controller. Available May 14, 2021 in select regions, with pricing yet to be announced.
