All-Electric Zeekr 001 FR Revealed, Has Four Motors Making 1,265HP

The Tesla Model S Plaid may have some competition in China from an unlikely competitor, the Zeekr 001 FR. Power comes from four electric motors making a combined 1,265 hp and 944 lb-ft of torque, enabling it to accelerate from 0-62 mph in just 2.07 seconds, while topping out at an electronically limited 174 mph.

Now charging isn’t an issue either, as it boasts a 100-kilowatt-hour CATL Qilin battery pack with an enhanced 800-volt electrical system that can charge the battery from 10 to 80 percent in a mere 15 minutes. Unlike the Tesla Model S Plaid, the Zeekr 001 FR has an integrated satellite communications pack, which eliminates cellular network black out spots when taking long road trips. Deliveries begin next month in China, with pricing starting from $138,000 USD.
