“The Whale” Visitor Center Seamlessly Blends Into the Norwegian Landscape

Set to open in 2022, Dorte Mandrup’s new visitor center in northern Norway, called The Whale, seamlessly blends into the landscape like a small rocky hill. This would be a prime spot for whale watching during their migration. It was designed in partnership with Marianne Levinsen Landskab, JAC Studios, Thornton Tomasetti, Nils Øien and Anders Kold. The structure will be 186-miles north of the Arctic Circle.

PAN Treetop Cabins Provide Stunning Views of Norway’s Finnskogen Forest

Finnskogen is basically an area of Norway / Sweden located in the counties of Hedmark / Värmland respectively, but for those who have heard of it, nothing notable probably comes to mind, that is until now. Introducing the Pan Treetop Cabins. These a-framed structures situated off the ground by four stilts, and can only be accessed by a spiral staircase.
