One enthusiast recently spent nearly $400,000 on a custom truck unlike anything else on the road today. The truck began life as a 2020 Ford F-450 Platinum, a beast right out of the box noted for its strength, even in stock form. A tuning shop called Stretch My Truck managed to turn it into something truly unique.
They stretched out the original chassis and body, and major changes were required to manage the added length as well as weight, so they put in a full row of seats out back, along with an additional set of doors, bringing the total number of doors on this thing to six. This allowed them to fit 11 passengers in while maintaining the usual 8-foot bed for hauling any stuff they needed. Yes, this is far larger than your usual pickup truck; it’s almost comparable to a full-size commercial vehicle.

The suspension system was designed by the shop so you can now adjust the ride height at each axle individually. This means running 46″ tires with duals in the rear and look like a total boss, or you can lower it all the way down to 36″ for everyday driving and towing. Because of its adaptability, this device can be used on a daily basis, despite its large size.
Inside, however, it’s mostly business as usual, with all of the usual comforts found in a Platinum model, including the sophisticated touch screen infotainment system, as well as the screens installed on the seat backs for the middle and back row passengers. The second row seats are completely motorized, and the men even included some extra warmers and AC for the back row passengers.
Power comes from the same six and three-quarters Power Stroke V8 diesel that was originally installed, but the crew did manage to improve performance by adding some twin turbos, a custom intercooler, and re-flashing the engine computer to extract a little more power. Let me tell you, they have not forgotten about gasoline capacity either. They have a 60-gallon tank hidden under the cab and a 75-gallon tank in the bed, in addition to the original 50 gallon tank. That’s nearly 185 gallons in total; you could travel from the east coast to the west without stopping for gas.
