2026 Fiat Topolino EV US Model
Fiat has opened pre-orders for the 2026 Topolino in the United States. The all-electric microcar arrives with a starting price of $13,995 before destination charges, or roughly $14,985 once the $990 fee is added. Limited numbers of the 2026 model year vehicle will reach buyers.

The dimensions are 99.6 inches long, 56.4 inches wide, and 61.2 inches tall, allowing it to fit into even the tiniest parking spots and navigate situations where a larger automobile would seem ungainly. At 1,073 pounds curb weight, the Topolino is a light ride that can fit into tight spots without breaking a sweat. A single front-mounted electric motor with a modest 8hp provides power, and a 5.4-kWh lithium-ion battery pack stores it all. Fiat claims the Topolino has a maximum range of about 46 miles, which isn’t bad for an electric vehicle. In its basic configuration, you can travel at a top speed of 19 mph.

  • User-Friendly Operation: This mobility scooter features an intuitive control panel with no complicated buttons. This straightforward operation is convenient for seniors and individuals with limited mobility.
  • Upgraded Comfortable Seat: The seat measures 19.6L * 18W * 16H inches and is designed to be larger, thicker, and higher for enhanced comfort. It features a cushioned synthetic leather cover, along with adjustable handles and a control lever, accommodating different body shapes for easier entry and exit, thus improving the overall travel experience.

If you’re willing to wait until fall 2026 for a Street Legal Conversion Kit, Fiat will include a complimentary free speed boost to 25 mph. That kit also includes a rearview mirror, backup camera, and pedestrian alert system, making you completely compliant with low-speed vehicle rules. Once the upgrade is installed, the Topolino will be road legal at speeds of up to 35 mph, which should suffice for most local trips. Just remember to keep it off highways and busy roads, as that is not what this little automobile is intended for. To keep it charged, plug it into a typical 120-volt household outlet; a complete recharge will take about 4 hours.

Topolino comes in two different styles. The standard model features robust asymmetrical doors and a beautiful glass roof panel for panoramic views. The Dolce Vita version replaces the doors with robust ropes and has a roll-back soft top for an open-air driving experience. Both models have the same vivid Verde Vita Mint green paint finish.

Inside, things are kept rather simple. You’ll get a small digital display that shows your speed and battery status. Storage bins and a phone holder are nearby, allowing you to keep your phone and other small items close at hand. There is a USB-C plug for charging your phone or other gadgets, and seatbelts are included as standard. However, don’t expect a dazzling touchscreen or fancy navigation system, as this is a car that is all about getting the job done, not showing off.

In terms of functionality, the Topolino features LED headlamps and taillamps, turn signals, a windshield with a defroster (on the closed variant), side mirrors, and a rear luggage rack for carrying small things on short trips. The NHTSA has approved the Topolino as a low-speed vehicle after installing the conversion kit, which includes all of the needed lights, reflectors, a horn, seatbelts, and identification signs. Don’t be too concerned with crash protection, though, because at low speeds, getting from A to B safely is more important than avoiding major accidents.

Fiat is promoting the Topolino as a new and interesting way to move around in the United States, particularly in smaller towns and cities. It has already gained popularity in other areas, and now that it has come in America, it will be a big deal. Production is taking place in Morocco, and Fiat’s executives say it marks the beginning of a new chapter for the brand in the United States. This little automobile is ideal for short journeys around town, beach towns, resorts, gated communities, downtown zones, and private properties with low speed limits, and with zero emissions and a small footprint, it’s also an environmentally beneficial option.
