CEER EXOBOT Turns a Blade Runner Silhouette Into Saudi Arabia’s First Production Cars

Saudi Arabia just put two electric cars on a stage that look as if they rolled off a Ridley Scott set rather than a factory floor. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman unveiled the CEER EXOBOT sedan and SUV on September 21, 2026, as the opening act for the kingdom’s first homegrown car brand. Both machines share a sharp wedge profile, a windshield that runs almost flat into the hood, and doors that lift like wings.

CEER claims that the glass covering its colossal car extends 2.4 meters from nose to bumper, making it the largest glass screen ever installed on a production car. That massive glass is positioned at a slightly rakish 15-degree slant. The doors, dubbed the Shahin Wing Doors after the falcon, swing up in a nice big arc and open right across the side of the car because, of course, there is no traditional B pillar to get in the way, and high-strength materials are used to hold everything together.



Lighting-wise, they’re trying for a throwback vibe, with 32 thin bars paying homage to 1932, when Saudi Arabia initially formed as a monarchy. Meanwhile, the wheels feature a nice triangular pattern inspired by the region’s traditional architecture, while the bodywork is believed to be inspired by Hegra’s, you guessed it, carved stone. Former McLaren design chief Rob Melville (who put the P1, 720S, Senna, and Artura through their paces) was responsible for the styling.



Both of these vehicles are massive, with the sedan measuring 5.26 meters long, 2.1 meters wide, and 1.43 meters tall, sporting a wheelbase of 3.2 meters. The SUV, on the other hand, manages to fit into a 5.02-meter-long space while remaining 1.69-meters height and 2.1-meters broad.The wheelbase remains unaltered. The initially Edition cars, which will be available initially, are powered by three motors and provide a strong 850 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque. The sedan accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds, while the SUV takes 2.9 seconds. Later on, a higher-output version is planned, with 1,111 horsepower and an additional 500 Nm of torque, reducing the times to 2.1 and 2.4 seconds, with top speeds of 250 and 210 km/h. To be clear, this is due in part to BMW technology, as well as Rimac’s rear drive unit and torque vectoring software. Along with Hyundai Transys, which supplied the front motors.



The crucial takeaway here is that Foxconn (remember, they’ve been joint venture partners with CEER when the brand initially launched in 2022 with the Saudi Public Investment Fund) provides the modular electric architecture that underlies everything. This means the four-wheeler gets a nice big 112 kWh NCM battery pack, combined with an 800-volt system, and as a result, the sedan has a stated range of 670 km on the NEDC cycle, while the SUV accomplishes 560 km. Charging the automobile from 10 to 80 percent takes 30 minutes or less, with a peak of roughly 250 kW if you want to get everything done quickly. In terms of technology, there’s even dual-chamber air suspension, rear-wheel steering, and Steer-by-wire (essentially a column-free system) to make driving more pleasant.




One of the most difficult aspects of designing a car as glass-heavy as this one for the Gulf is that it must remain cool, which requires triple silver-coated glass and a cooling system. According to CEER, that combination is successful at lowering the cabin temperature from a scorching 65°C to a more comfortable 32°C in just 10 minutes. Once inside, you’ll find a 48-inch curved 8K display (as big as they come, and spanning the entire top of the car) and a few smaller screens to keep you entertained, such as a 10.4-inch central screen and an additional 8-inch display for rear passengers. Physical switches are still there, housed in a cantilevered console. You can even lower the door window to bring in fresh air, or just make it opaque to block out the sunlight. For the first Edition cars, they’re including a commemorative plaque with the VIN number, red calipers, a Black Pack, red and black leather, and a paint job in Harrat Gray or White Musk.



Abha Green, Obaya Black, and Sky Silver are among the more colorful options available, making for a rather broad palette by any standards. What truly distinguishes this vehicle are the local touches: prayer time reminders to keep you on track, a compass pointing toward Mecca for extra direction, and a clever small sensor that keeps your abaya from getting caught in a door. On the technological front, you can expect over-the-air upgrades, a digital key for easy entry and exit, remote parking, and a useful AI assistant that can handle a variety of chores for you.



Production will take place at the huge CEER Manufacturing Complex in King Abdullah Economic City, which is said to be the Middle East’s largest automotive manufacturer. The current target date for manufacturing is January 2027, with the first customer cars expected in March, which is a few years later than the 2025 launch date that was originally planned when the brand was introduced. Sales will begin in the Gulf markets, with pricing yet to be announced. Five more vehicles are planned for 2030, including some very interesting-looking midsize and tiny automobiles, as it appears the business is now considering selling plug-in hybrids and combustion engines despite previously stating that they would stick to electric.
