Garage 54’s custom-built Lada powered by 50 cordless drills is quite the experience to drive, and not in a good way. For those who have seen the first prototype, this one boasts a revamped mounting system for the drills to ensure they stay securely in place.
Custom pipes also needed to be made to hold each individual drill securely in place, while an intricate pulley system as installed alongside them. Now building the mounting system was only the first part of the battle, as getting them all inside the Lada proved very difficult. Why? Each drill has its own battery, which means fifty individual packs that had to be fit into the engine compartment.
