Cordless Drills Electric Engine EV
Garage 54 took 50 cordless drills and turned them into an electric engine of sorts, and it just might be the strangest EV-related project we’ve seen yet. The only way to get them into an engine-like configuration was through the use of a metal cradle with hose clamps.

The team then had to weld metal posts around the cradle to hold the drills securely in place, complete with 50 custom-fabricated aluminum pulleys. To ensure that all of the drills are synced up, the team first tried rewiring them while keeping the original electronics inside. In the end, they had to connect each battery directly to a motor, while everything else is tied into a couple bundles of bare wires.
