Ferrari introduced its first electric grand tourer a short time ago and the discussion that followed quickly turned to how little the Luce matched the visual expectations many people hold for the brand. The car carries strong performance figures and a long range, yet its restrained lines left a noticeable gap between what arrived and what some hoped to see.
Venuum Black takes center stage with a new set of digital renders created by the tuner in only a few hours. The designer expanded on the underlying framework, increasing the loudness in specific areas to change the overall vibe without starting from scratch. Things start with the nose. The front bumper has received additional material as it flares out wider on either side, and a lower splitter extends further down. These components make the front end appear broader and produce deeper shadow lines around the intakes, giving the overall appearance a more muscular feel.

The sides continue to expand, as seen by the increasing thickness around the lower door sections and side skirts. The suspension has been adjusted to lower the body somewhat, tightening the distance between the tyres and the new bodywork and giving the car a more planted appearance. The back has seen the most significant alterations. A large diffuser extends out the back, with tall vertical blades down the sides, and a fixed wing rests on top, raising the rear end slightly. When these components are combined, the car has a much more serious and heavier appearance.
The entire thing has been coated in matte black paint. The flat finish eliminates any bright reflections and allows the new shapes to shine in all their beauty, rather than depending on showy colors to draw your attention. As a result, the car feels much more serious, as it is less of a show car and more of a road machine. The new wheels are slightly larger, with a Y-spoke style that is much more angular than previously. The yellow brake calipers show through behind the spokes as the only intended color contrast against the dark bodywork and rims. The Ferrari insignia are still present, of course, so the connection to the original car remains even after all of the changes.
All of these modifications are now only on the digital drawing board; however, bringing them from concept to reality is a very different story. It would require some major bespoke work, potential adjustments to get everything fitting and looking just right, and a price tag that would surely exceed the base price of a Luce, north of $600,000, before you even consider the costs of actually bringing it all to life.
