The four seats are strapped in and facing forward for a safe journey. Along one wall is an L-shaped couch and a small table that hooks into the counter, ideal for preparing a meal. The enormous windows open wide with built-in screens and shades to let in fresh air or keep it out when necessary. When you park, a power awning with LED lights drops down outside. On the passenger side, there’s a small galley, a sink with a glass cover for washing dishes, and a small fridge to keep drinks cool. There are cupboards around the walls, as well as pull-out drawers from under the couch, for additional storage.
If you like, you can add a removable induction cooktop or a microwave to the designated cabinet. Whatever the location of the vehicle, everything remains easily accessible. However, things do vary slightly at night.Simply pull out the couch drawers, turn down the cushions, and you’ll have a double bed at floor level. There’s still enough of airflow to keep things lovely inside, and you can still get to the kitchen. For the last two, the piece of fiberglass above the cab conceals a second bed for two persons. Then there’s the tray above the driving area, which folds out, opens up, and offers an upper berth.
So you have a 24-liter water tank to keep the sink running and a 14-liter grey tank to collect waste, all stowed under the van. An outdoor cold shower works well, and a portable loo can be stored there when needed. You have a 150-watt solar panel attached to the side, charging the home batteries and powering an inverter so you can connect in. Upgrade and you could be looking at 400 amp-hours and 3,000 watts.
Prices range from around $23,700 for the base model, which is still a good deal, to $37,000 for the Premium or Turbo package. Air conditioning, a diesel heater, a television, and better upholstery are among the optional features. They also provide double-glazed windows and a rearview camera to make daily tasks easier.
