It’s not everyday that you see a DeLorean, much less one powered by a Honda-sourced K24 four-cylinder engine. John Thompson is the lucky owner of the world’s only HonDeLorean, which now makes up to 450 hp from its turbocharged engine setup when running on E85 fuel, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission from a Porsche 911.
Despite the engine mods, this vehicle was not designed for the track, although John did upgrade the suspension with coilovers as well as poly bushings to improve handling. Custom mounts ensured that the K24 sat securely in the engine bay, while the original air conditioning system was retained surprisingly enough.
