The all-new Lamborghini Urus Performante is fast, but how does it compare with the Tesla Model X Plaid, BMW X5M, Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT, and AMG GLE 63 in the ultimate SUV drag racing shodown? CarWow wanted to find out so they pit all of these vehicles against each other. Starting off, the Urus Performante is powred by a twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8 making 657 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque, mated to an 8-speed ZF Automatic transmission.
Now you might be thinking how could a super SUV with only 657 hp compete with a Tesla Model X Plaid, which makes 1020 hp, and rightfully so. However, both the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT as well as the BMW X5M put up a nice fight. What the Urus Performante may not have in speed, it more than makes up for with its Rally mode where oversteer is amplified with anti-roll and damping systems.
