It’s official, the McMurtry Spéirling Pure VP1 set a new lap record at the Top Gear Test Track with a blistering time of 55.9 seconds, driven by The Stig. This smashed the previous record of 59.0 seconds, held for 21 years by the Renault R24 Formula 1 car from 2004.
How did it pull this off? For one, the Spéirling’s fan-powered grip and 1,000 horsepower let it beat even Formula 1 cars, making it the quickest car ever to zip around the famous Dunsfold track.
