Mercedes-AMG teamed up with Will.i.am to launch MBUX SOUND DRIVE, an interactive music experience that reacts to the way the car is being driven, resulting in a harmonious relationship between motion and melody. Put simply, it transforms the vehicle into a virtual musical instrument.
It uses various sensors and advanced software to interpret various driving dynamics like recuperation, acceleration, steering, and braking. This data is then converted into musical expressions, enabling the driver to ‘compose’ their own journey in real-time. MBUX Sound Drive will rollout globally from mid-2024 and be available on Mercedes-AMG as well as Mercedes-Benz vehicles equipped with the second-generation MBUX system.
