Based on the Ford Shelby GT500, it’s now powered by a twin-turbocharged 5.2L V8 making 1,300 hp and 1,000 lb-ft of torque on E85 ethanol, mated to a 10-speed transmission.
Some of the power upgrades include Manley pistons / rods, ARP studs, ARP heavy-duty timing chains, new injectors, and a MoTec engine management system. There’s just one issue, pricing starts at $224,995 USD and that doesn’t include the base 2020 – 2022 Ford Shelby GT500 required for the conversion. We imagine a completed vehicle costing upwards of $350,000.
