Pocket Bunny R32 GT-R Nissan
The Nissan R32 GT-R has become something of an automotive classic, one of those sports cars that people still talk about decades later. Someone has taken that renowned reputation and transformed it into a miniature, wacky rendition of the iconic Skyline. That’s exactly what Kei Miura and his firm, Rocket Bunny, accomplished with their most recent project: a Suzuki Twin dressed in a Pocket Bunny R32 GT-R attire.

The Suzuki Twin was a small kei car that was only available for a few years in the early 2000s, but it is now the foundation for this smaller GT-R construction, which was presented at the 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon. Not one to back down from a challenge, the Rocket Bunny crew chose to link the 658cc three-cylinder Suzuki engine, which produces 27 horsepower, with a five-speed manual transmission and spin the wheels around to the front. The entire setup is nice and compact, with very little power and a little weight, so it all fits well into the kei-car category, where restrictions in Japan assist keep size and power under control.

LEGO Technic 2 Fast 2 Furious Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) Car - DIY Kit and Building Set for Adults - Collectible Model Street Racer with Drift Function - Gift for Car Enthusiasts and Movie Fans - 42210
  • BUILD AN ICONIC CAR – Adults can relive their favorite movie moments with the LEGO Technic 2 Fast 2 Furious Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34), a detailed replica of the legendary vehicle from the hit movies
  • CAR MODEL KIT FOR ADULTS – Fans of model car kits and building blocks will enjoy discovering details as they build, like functioning steering, a 6-cylinder engine, front and rear suspension, opening doors, an adjustable wing, and 3 signature NOS bottles
  • GROUNDBREAKING DRIFT FUNCTION – The first-ever LEGO Technic drift mechanism raises the car so builders can recreate the movie's most impressive street racing maneuvers

Rocket Bunny basically gutted the Suzuki’s previous bodywork and installed a set of new fiberglass panels that resemble the R32 GT-R’s aggressive posture. The bumpers, bonnet, fenders, tailgate, and rear wing now appear to be straight out of a Japanese tuning enthusiast’s dream, with four circular taillights, rectangular headlamps, a large back end, and the works. They did leave the roof, doors, and glass intact, but everything else was destroyed.

The finished product rides on some fancy electromagnetic air suspension from Airmext Japan, with brand new alloy wheels that just about fill the bigger arches. Inside, Rocket Bunny has installed bucket seats, a three-spoke steering wheel, an aftermarket display, and a roll cage to give it a more cockpit-like feel. The whole thing is a fantastic twist on the legendary GT-R, but with a lot of charm and personality.

It’s not all about the looks, though, as Rocket Bunny has plans to go even more radical in the future by installing a rotary engine and switching to rear-wheel drive. That would give the Pocket Bunny a completely new lease on life, as opposed to keeping things simple with the current front-wheel drive configuration. For the time being, 27 horsepower fits the lighthearted mood of this little project perfectly, as the goal isn’t to beat the land speed record, but rather to have fun.

If you like what you see, the Rocket Bunny Pocket Bunny kit is available for purchase, either as a whole kit or as individual components, for around €3,622 (approximately $4,200), before you even consider having it painted and installed. The kit provides everything you’ll need to complete the job, but you’ll need to make your own modifications to the basic car.
