Designed by Sussex-based designer John Shuttleworth, the Adastra may look and sound like a spaceship at first, but it’s just an ultra luxurious superyacht. It measures 140-feet-long and is built for speed while not sacrificing fuel consumption. The watercraft has a top speed north of 23 knots, and only needs to refuel once every 4,000 nautical miles, thanks to the gratuitous use of carbon fiber throughout.
Aside from the stunning on-deck lounging areas, you’ll also find a full-width master bedroom with full bath and two guest cabins below deck. Powering the Adastra is a gigantic Caterpillar C18 main engine generatinng 1150 hp, good for a 10-knot cruising range of 10,000 nautical miles.
It was originally built for Hong Kong businessman Antony Marden and his guests to traverse the world, but it’s now available for sale at an eye-watering price of $12-million USD.
