You’ve probably heard of glamping, which is the portmanteau of “glamorous” and “camping”, but for those who haven’t, it’s basically camping with amenities with some resort-style services. Boomkamp, managed by Ika Merlin and Tobias Knockaert, aims to take that to a whole new level. Situated in a forest not far from Bruges, Belgium, this tree house hotel complex of sorts offers all that you need for a comfortable night’s stay.
Each of the tree houses consists of a steel base and a living area with multiplex construction, complete with water / fire resistant fabric for the roof. It has large windows, a spacious bed, and a small terrace for you to enjoy a morning coffee or watch the sunset. A sturdy staircase was also added for safe and easy access. One caveat: this is only a temporary installation, so if you happen to be near Bruges, Belgium, make sure to check it out.
