Cirrus G3 Vision Jet
Cirrus Aircraft has officially unveiled the new Generation 3 Vision Jet, a highly polished version of the single-engine personal jet that has already transformed the way people think about private flight. Since its introduction nearly a decade ago, the Vision Jet has been the best-selling jet in its category, with over 700 delivered worldwide. This current iteration maintains what works while making a host of careful small upgrades to seats, cabin comfort, cockpit equipment, and visibility.

Seating is now adequate for six adults and one child in a flexible setup, one more person than the previous model typically accommodated. There’s a new bench seat option that makes more room for passengers, and the middle seats can be popped in and out with a simple lever. We worked hard to make the seats ergonomic, so the pilot and co-pilot chairs can be moved with just one hand, the seats themselves are larger and more supportive, and they are also upholstered in premium leather and Alcantara. Passengers now have access to advanced tablet and phone mounting systems in the cabin’s back.

DJI Neo 2 (Drone Only), Lightweight 4K Drone With Camera, Palm Takeoff & Landing, Gesture Control, ActiveTrack, Omnidirectional Obstacle Sensing
  • Lightweight & Portable Design - Weighing just 151g [9] and C0 certified, this compact drone features full-coverage propeller guards for safer, worry-free transport and flight.
  • Palm Takeoff & Landing [1], Gesture Control [2] - Enjoy easy palm takeoff and landing, plus intuitive gesture controls for hands-free operation and seamless flying experiences.
  • Smooth & Reliable Tracking - ActiveTrack [3] keeps your subject in focus, while Apple Watch lets you view live feed, check flight status, or use voice control to adjust tracking [17].

The cabin itself feels very spacious for a jet of this size, measuring little more than 30 feet in total. You have larger windows, offering panoramic views for the pilots, and each area of the plane has its own climate control, allowing individuals to stay at their preferred temperature. Connectivity options include in-flight Wi-Fi and Bluetooth links to the flight deck, which provide real-time weather and flight information. That’s just a handful of the roughly 30 improvements they’ve made to make the environment quieter and more adaptive, making it ideal for both short and long excursions.

Don’t worry about performance; this plane still boasts the dependable Williams International FJ33-5A engine, which generates 1,846 pounds of thrust. The maximum cruise speed is a smooth 317 knots (or nearly 365 miles per hour), and it can go 1,275 nautical miles at full load. Takeoff requires approximately 1,910 feet of runway, with landing ground roll measuring 1,622 feet. Of course, the service ceiling is a reasonable 31,000 feet, providing access to calmer air on cross-country flights.

The Cirrus Airframe Parachute System can still deploy the whole aircraft parachute in an emergency, while the Safe Return Emergency Autoland system can land the plane for you if the pilot is unable to continue. The G3 also includes brighter Spectra wingtip lights (2.7 times stronger than before!) and a redesigned nose gear landing light to provide pilots with even better vision on the ground and in low light conditions. You can now transmit text messages to air traffic control, which should help to reduce voice radio congestion.

Cockpit technology revolves around the Garmin Perspective Touch+ system, which now includes split-screen displays, allowing you to take in all of the information at once and much more quickly. The system’s speedier processing enables automatic database updates and straightforward controls, which make flying much easier to understand. Furthermore, the jet’s designers have purposefully kept things simple so that pilots transitioning from piston planes may get in the air with ease, while yet providing enough power for the more experienced owner.

Cirrus G3 Vision Jet
The G3 Vision Jet starts at just under $3.7 million, depending on how you spec it, and pilots are snapping it up quicker than Cirrus can say “make it”; they have a large backlog of orders, with deliveries already started. The goal with this latest iteration was to maintain the same easy approach that has made it so successful, without making it any more complicated than it needs to be. There are still plenty of safety features and plenty of comfort in a compact design, which is the G3’s winning recipe.
