Dan Hryhorcoff Street-Legal Bumper Car
Dan Hryhorcoff, a retiree from Pennsylvania, is no stranger to the mechanical workings of various vehicles like submarines, so it was only fitting that he decided to start this street-legal bumper car project during the pandemic.

He decided to model it after a 1953 Lusse Auto Skooter bumper car from the Knoebels amusement park in Elysburg, Pennsylvania. What he ended up with was a giant bumper that that measures 13′ in length, 7′ in width, and 5.5′ tall. Why did he choose to model it after the Lusse Auto Skooter? Well, it reminded him of a post-World War II Chevrolet pickup truck. Up front, it’s powered by a motorcycle assembly for maximum maneuverability. To keep things light, Hryhorcoff decided to use fiberglass for the body.
