The Dodge Viper is powered by an 8.0L V10 engine making 450 hp and 490 lb-ft of torque, mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. Its competitor, draws power from a 6.4L V8 producing 492 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque, paired with a an 8-speed automatic gearbox, On paper, they look to be pretty evenly matched, but keep in mind that the Viper is 798-pounds lighter than the Challenger.
