Duolingo Language Lessons 1980s
Many already know about Duolingo, the language lesson service that teaches over 100 languages including English, Spanish, French, Dutch, German and more. The app has many interactive exercises, quizzes and stories to make learning languages more engaging as well as fun, but what if this service existed back in the 1980s?

Well, there’s would be lots of 5 1/2-inch floppy disks for each language that you’d want to learn. This also means that there wouldn’t be any interactive exercises or videos, but considering the technology available at the time, which largely consisted of PCs from Compaq, Apple, IBM, Amstrad and Sinclair, that is not surprising. Let’s just say that you definitely need a good set of speakers for the exercises or else you may be repeating a lot of them.
