Jay Leno gives us an up-close look at the last Dodge Charger Police Pursuit vehicle and then takes it out for a spin on the road. Power comes from a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 making 370 horsepower. Even with all of that power, it still maintains an EPA fuel economy rating of 16 MPG in the city and 25 MPG on the highway.
For those wondering, both the current Dodge Charger and Challenger models were discontinued in December 2023 to transition to cleaner and more efficient electric vehicles (EVs). This included the Dodge Charger Pursuit, which is typically used by law enforcement. However, Dodge is still considering police packages for the new 2025 Charger, possibly even the all-electric Charger Daytona.
