Jay Leno Ferrari Daytona SP3
Jay Leno’s Garage remains a sanctuary for car lovers, where engines sing and chrome tells tales of mechanical genius. In his latest episode, Leno takes the Ferrari Daytona SP3 for a drive, a hypercar owned by David SK Lee of the Hing Wa Lee Group, its striking green carbon-fiber finish setting it apart in his California collection.

The car’s design grabs every eye—angular lines softened by curves that recall the 330 P4 and 512 S, icons of Ferrari’s past. Its green carbon-fiber body, a unique hue chosen by Lee, glows under the lights, with retractable “eyelid” covers over the LED headlights adding a retro-futuristic flair inspired by the 1967 Daytona. We can’t forget about its dihedral doors showcase and the cameras feeding cabin screens, which replace traditional side mirrors.

Alcantara and carbon fiber dominate the cabin, with a minimalist dashboard anchored by a curved digital display. The steering wheel’s haptic buttons are used to control everything from drive modes to blinkers. The seats, molded into the chassis, hug the passengers firmly.

At the core of the SP3 lies its 6.5-liter V12, Ferrari’s most potent naturally aspirated engine ever. Leno hits the start button, and the garage erupts with a roar that’s half-orchestra, half-tempest. He calls the sound “a choir of angry angels,” perfect for an engine that screams to 9,500 rpm. Rolling onto Los Angeles streets, the exhaust barks and snaps, turning heads.

Hitting open roads, Leno lets the SP3 loose. The seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox shifts with surgical speed, rocketing the car from 0 to 60 mph in a claimed 2.85 seconds. He raves about the acceleration, which presses him into the seat like a jet at takeoff.
