Mack MD Electric is the company’s first electric medium-duty truck, powered by a rear-mounted electric motor generating a peak 260 hp and 1,850 lb-ft of torque. It takes between 100 minutes to 160 minutes to fully charge the Mack MD Electric on an 80kW DC fast charger to charge either a 150- or 240 kWh lithium-ion battery pack.
You’ll be able to choose from Class 6 and Class 7 ratings, with the former having a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of 25,995 pounds, while the latter 33,000 pounds. Both models are exempt from the 12 percent Federal Excise Tax (FET). The Mack MD Electric will go into production later this year at their Roanoke Valley Operations (RVO) in Roanoke Valley, Virginia.
