Porsche 918 Spyder vs Red Bull Rallycross Drag Racing
Most auto enthusiasts know that the legendary Porsche 918 Spyder is a plug-in hybrid supercar powered by a 4.6L V8 engine, along with two electric motors, that generate a combined 875 hp and 944 lb-ft of torque. That may sound quick on paper, but how does it stack up against a Red Bull rallycross car in a drag race?

CarWow wanted to find out, so they pit the two vehicles against each other in a showdown for the ages. The Red Bull rallycross car is based on a Peugeot 208 rally car, powered by a turbocharged 2.0L making at least 620 hp, mated to a Sadev 5-speed sequential gearbox. Let’s just say that weight does play a big factor in the four races, with the rallycross car managing to pull off some upsets.
