The Samsung Galaxy Watch5 and Watch5 Pro were revealed at the company’s Unpacked event yesterday, both of which offer personalized design options as well as enhanced durability. For starters, it comes equipped with Samsung’s BioActive Sensor, which uses a single unique chip that combines three powerful health sensors — Optical Heart Rate, Electrical Heart Signal and Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis.
Unlike the standard model, the Galaxy Watch5 Pro boasts an enhanced Sapphire Crystal that better resists any wear and tear, while a durable titanium casing protects the display with a protruded bezel design. Plus, you get an all-new D-Buckle Sport Band that offers rugged durability with a sleek, comfortable fit. On the technical side, the smartwatches feature a 1.2-inch display (Galaxy Watch5) / 1.4-inch display (Galaxy Watch5 Pro), an Exynos W920 chipset, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and a 284mAh (Galaxy Watch5) / 590mAh (Galaxy Watch5 Pro) battery. Both models will be available for pre-order beginning on August 10th, priced from $279 (Galaxy Watch5) / $449 (Galaxy Watch5 Pro) USD.
