Segway’s new GT-series electric scooters are not for just getting around town, they would fit right in at a go-kart track as well. Why? The GT1 and GT2 editions can achieve a top speed of 37.3 mph and 43.5 mph respectively, making them the fastest in Segway’s product family.
For those interested in their technical specifications, the GT1 features a 1,400 watt rear-hub motor with a peak output of 3 kW, good enough for a top speed of 37.3 mph and can hit 0-30 mph in 7.5 seconds. On a full charge of its 1-kWh battery, you’ll get around 43.5 miles of range. As for the GT2, it boasts dual 1,500-W motors for peak output of 6 kW, which equates to a 0-30 mph time down of a mere 3.9 seconds, complete with six ride modes. Its 1,512-Wh battery pack has a 55.9-mile range on a single charge. Other features for both models include a double-wishbone structure, an adjustable damping suspension, front / rear hydraulic disc brakes, a wide footboard, and 11-inch self-sealing tubeless tires.
