The seventh-generation Apple iPad is here, and this new tablet is definitely no slouch. Priced from $329, it features a 10.2-inch Retina display, Apple Pencil support, the A10 Fusion chip, and compatibility with the full-sized Smart Keyboard. The device is available to pre-order now, and will be in stores on display beginning Monday, September 30th.
Apple’s new 10.2-inch Retina display iPad boasts nearly 3.5 million pixels, complete with a wide viewing angle, making it perfect for creative expression and immersive augmented reality (AR) experiences. The A10 Fusion chip offers up to two times faster performance over the top-selling Windows PC, all packed into a one pound device.
For the first time, the iPad sports an enclosure made from 100% recycled aluminum with the same strength, durability and finish as the aluminum in other Apple products. Gigabit-class LTE connectivity delivers three times faster cellular data connections, which means it’s easy to stay connected when on-the-go.
Plus, Apple’s new iPadOS (ships free with all 7th-gen iPads) will bring powerful new capabilities and intuitive features designed specifically for the tablet, including a revamped Home screen, which shows more apps on each page. You can also add a Today View to enable quick widget access for at-a-glance information including news headlines, weather and calendar events. Split View means working with multiple files and documents from the same app is a breeze, or quickly switch between multiple apps using Slide Over.
