SpaceX Falcon 9 Rocket Debris Pacific Northwest
Wonder if the streaks of light you saw in the night sky at around 9pm PST in the Pacific Northwest were UFOs? Unfortunately (or fortunately), it was just debris cause by the breakup of a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket stage, left over from the Mar 4 Starlink launch that took place weeks ago. Just moments after the debris started burning up, countless video clips of the event found its way to social media platforms worldwide.

Just about everyone around the Pacific Northwest was able to observe it, but astronomer Jonathan McDowell wasn’t sure if any of the space debris made it to the ground since most of the pieces appeared to have burned up. Weather service officials also did not receive reports of impacts across western Washington.

  • Bring to life the rocket launch that took humans to the moon with the meter-high (approximately 1: 110 scale) model rocket of the NASA Apollo Saturn V
  • The Saturn V rocket kit includes 3 removable rocket stages (first, s-ii second, and s-ivb third) below the launch escape system, command and service module; Plus, there are 2 minifigures to accompany the Lunar Lander and splashdown rocket toy
  • After building the Saturn V rocket, you can display the spacecraft horizontally with 3 stands; The Lunar Lander docks with the command and service modules while the Lunar Orbiter sends the rocket into space

Based on the observed video, this looks more likely than a bolide meteor or similar object as they would be moving far faster on impact with our atmosphere. There are NO expected impacts on the ground in our region at this time. More info will be posted as it becomes available,” said a representative from Seattle’s National Weather Service office.
