The partnership between Jaguar Land Rover and Chery revitalizes the Freelander brand through a joint venture in China, giving it its own identity and product range as a standalone label with its own distribution network. The first sight of this restored brand comes in the form of Concept 97, a reference to the original model that debuted in 1997. Production versions will soon begin rolling off the shared manufacturing floor in Changshu, where previous Land Rover models were produced.

Automotive designer Oliver Ball knows that Land Rover vehicles are designed to go anywhere, and hopefully in the near future, Antarctica. So, he came up with the Land Rover ARC, which is essentially a futuristic laboratory on wheels that includes sleeping quarters as well as other modules.
