1000HP BMW M3 vs Tesla Model S Plaid Drag Racing
Tom Wrigley Performance and R44’s 1,000 BMW M3 is fast, but can it beat a Tesla Model S Plaid in a drag race? AutoTrader wanted to find out, so they pit the sporty sedan against the extremely quick EV to see which vehicle comes out on top.



We know the Tesla Model S Plaid has a tri-motor setup generating 1,020 hp and 1,050 lb-ft of torque, enabling it to hit 60 mph in a mere 1.99 seconds. On paper, many would assume the Tesla winning all three drag races, but as you’re about to see, that wasn’t the case. We won’t spoil everything, but will say that the BMW M3 won the first race.
