Can a modified 1,000hp BMW M3 Touring take down a 1,001hp Lamborghini Revuelto in a drag racing showdown? Mat Watson of CarWow wanted to find out, so he pit those two, along with an Audi R8, against each other in the ultimate battle.
Power for the BMW M3 Touring comes from a twin-turbocharged 3.0L inline-six-cylinder engine making 1,001 hp and 811 lb-ft of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. As for the Revuelto, it’s powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine, complemented by three electric motors, that generate a combined 1,001 hp and 783 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Last, but not least, the tuned Audi R8 boasts a 5.2L FSI V10 engine generating 1,000 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque, with the supercar being the lightest of the three at 3,483 pounds, while the other two both weigh in at over 4,100 pounds each.
