The 2024 Kia EV9, based on the Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), just made its worldwide debut, and this vehicle marks the company’s first ever three-row seat electric flagship SUV. Boasting a range of up to 338-miles, according to the World harmonized Light vehicle Testing Procedure (WLTP), it can be recharged to 44% using ultra-fast 800-volt charging in approximately 15 minutes.

As for power options, the base model features a single electric motor making 201 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, while the standard gets a boost to 215 hp. If you want more power, the top-of-the-line variant has a twin-motor, all-wheel-drive setup generating 378 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque. Kia’s Highway Driving Pilot (HDP) system will be available in the Kia EV9 GT-line in the future, enabling conditional Level 3 autonomous driving in selected markets. There’s also the Kia Connect Store, which enables customers to purchase digital features and services on demand, complete with Over the Air (OTA) updates at any time. There’s no word yet on pricing or availability, but pre-orders should begin in Q2 2023.
