AKKA Technologies debuts the first rideable prototype of their NAWA Racer e-bike, the world’s first zero-emission motorcycle concept that utilizes the company’s next generation nano-based ultracapacitors, called NAWACap. They combine this technology with conventional lithium-ion cells to create a hybrid battery system.
Thanks to this hybrid battery system, it can travel up to 186 mi (300 km) in an urban environment. Aesthetically, it has a futuristic form factor combined with retro looks that consist of simple, smooth lightweight composite panels as well as a rear arm and an in-wheel motor. For those wishing to see it in person, just head on over to ‘EICMA 2021’ in Milan from November 25-28.
- Sturdy & Powerful: Dual 400W motors, max speed 12.5 mph, range 22 miles, max load 220 lbs.
- Safety & Comfort: Smart Battery Management System ensures safety, extends battery life. Knee control bar for precise steering, easy lifting. 11" pneumatic tires for smooth rides on bumpy roads.
- Remote Control & Auto-Follow Mode: Use handle or joystick on multi-functional remote to control device. Activate follow mode for hands-free operation.
NAWA Racer is our vision for the electric motorbike of tomorrow – a retro café racer-inspired machine, but one that is thoroughly modern. It is lightweight, fast and fun, perfect for an emission-free city commute that will put a smile on your face. But thanks to its revolutionary electric powertrain, which combines NAWA’s ultracapacitors with lithium-ion, it also lays down a blueprint for the future,” said Pascal Boulanger, Founder and CTO of NAWA Technologies.
