The F-Racer Junior is essentially a miniature Ferrari F40 go-kart that you can actually drive around and it’s being auctioned off at RM Sotheby’s Monterey event later this month. Measuring in at just 8.5′ x 5.25′ and weighing 551 pounds, this 3/4-scale supercar has a top speed of 35 mph, complete with a drivetrain that sports a key-start 270-cubic-centimeter gasoline engine, mated to a 2:1 reduction gearbox.
Not just a basic go-kart either, as it boasts an independent wishbone suspension, oil-dampened coil shock absorbers, rear differential, and hydraulic brake discs all around. Step inside, and you’ll find two bucket seats upholstered in genuine cloth material with seatbelts, dashboard dial displays, and a hinged rear Lexan screen right above the engine like its real-life counterpart. Going out for a spin in good weather? If so, then it may be time to take off the removable roof. With all that said, it’s expected to fetch between $30,000 – $40,000 USD at the Monterey Conference Center on August 18-20, 2022.
