It’s rumored that the refresh of Apple’s MacBook Air, which should come equipped with the M2 chip, is scheduled for the second half of 2022. Aside from the processor, this updated model is speculated to have a 13.6″ mini-LED display, or slightly larger than the current 13.3″ model.
Apple’s M2 chip boasts an 8-core CPU and 9-core or 10-core GPU options. However, technology analyst Ming-Chi Kuo thinks that this model will only have a modified M1 chip rather than the all-new M2. On a similar note, the new design should be offered in several additional color options, and is slated to enter mass production in the late second quarter or third quarter of 2022. Unfortunately, there’s no word yet on pricing, RAM, or storage options.
