Chinese digital artist Ajax, known online as jaxwang3, has put forward a hypothetical Bugatti concept that reworks the brand’s visual language in ways few have tried. Shared through Car Design World, the Bugatti Alien keeps enough signature elements to read as a Bugatti while introducing shapes and surfaces that feel new.
A modified horseshoe grille is nestled snuggly inside an exposed carbon fiber bumper designed to allow air flow through. The ventilated headlights and front fender design, together with an all-new LED lighting signature, offer it a fresh appearance up front. Rather than having a separate roof and windshield, a single enormous piece of glass forms both the roof and the windshield, resulting in a seamless, transparent shell that wraps completely around the cabin.

The arches are packed with enormous turbine-style center-lock wheels. A lengthy centerline snaking down from the cockpit at the back highlights the mid-mounted engine. Large vents border the engine area, and air rushes out through openings where the taillights would normally be. A large diffuser in the back allows a well-centered exhaust to exit.
The side windows are comprised of a translucent material that can transform from completely opaque to perfectly clear at will. They’ve reversed the traditional direction of the C-line, a famous Bugatti pattern, giving this design a very distinct appearance while yet paying homage to its heritage.
This project is completely conceptual, yet it demonstrates how far established design language can be taken when interpreted digitally, while ever losing the essence that defines a Bugatti.
