Bugatti has collaborated with Factor Bikes to create the Factor ONE, a road machine with the same level of accuracy and refinement as one of the brand’s flagship vehicles. There are only 250 of these one-of-a-kinds being produced worldwide, each with its own unique number on a plaque, a charming touch that Bugatti owners are accustomed to. You can already acquire one for a cool $23,599, which is roughly comparable to a rare collector, not your typical road bike.
The complete frame is made of carbon fiber, and it’s been painted in a slick two-tone finish that looks classy up front with Bugatti Blue and eventually fades into a matte black carbon finish towards the back. A beautiful chunk of bold white lettering runs down the side, and near the head tube, you’ll discover a fresh take on that now-iconic Dancing Elephant insignia, a nice little touch that’s been a trademark of Bugatti design for years.

The engineers at Factor have taken an unusual approach to the front fork, widening it much beyond what you’d find on a conventional racing bike, and even shaping some of the surfaces near the bottom to ensure that air flows easily past the hub and brakes. That makes a big difference at speed, as it reduces resistance and keeps the front end of the bike from becoming unstable when you’re really pushing hard through corners or taking it down steep descents. The rest of the frame geometry is based on Factor’s tried-and-true ONE platform, so it handles exactly as you’d expect, but with a few fresh tweaks to keep things interesting.
Factor teamed up with Black Inc to create a unique wheelset exclusively for this project. The Hyper 62 is a genuine show stopper, weighing in at 1,298 grams overall, with 62mm deep carbon rims and some very beautiful moulded boomerang spokes that really hold everything together. The stiffness of the wheels allows for some very rapid acceleration, and the regulated flex that they incorporate helps to smooth out road chatter on longer rides.
Those wheels are equipped with Continental’s super-slick GP 5000 TT tyres, which come in matching blue and really bring the whole thing together. Factor has even gone to the trouble of designing a bespoke Selle Italia saddle specifically for this bike, as well as a Carbon-Ti chainring and disc rotors, each of which has a carbon center to shave a few grams off the overall weight without sacrificing any strength. There are also carbon crank arms and a seat post to keep the package lightweight.
Factor is now accepting inquiries for the bike via their website, and with just 250 being produced, you can know that these will be snatched up quickly. As the frames are completed over the following few months, these bikes will begin to make their way to their new owners, and when they do, it will be a true tribute to what can be accomplished when two firms like this collaborate to push the boundaries of what is possible.
