Two supercars faced off at Orlando Speed World Drag Strip: Chevrolet’s 2025 Corvette ZR1, an American icon with a twin-turbo V8, and Lamborghini’s Revuelto, an Italian hybrid wonder with a screaming V12 and electric power.
The Corvette ZR1 rolled in with 1,064 horsepower from its 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 and an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. The ZTK Performance Package added a massive carbon-fiber wing and front splitter, generating nearly 950 pounds of downforce. At $263,000, this loaded ZR1 wasn’t cheap, but it looked like a steal next to the Revuelto’s $683,000 price tag. The Lamborghini countered with 1,001 horsepower—814 from its 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 and 296 from three electric motors—driving all four wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

The first round started with a roar. The Corvette’s rear-wheel drive nailed the launch, its Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tires hooking the strip like glue. The Revuelto, despite its all-wheel-drive advantage, spun its wheels, struggling to harness its power. The ZR1 took off like a bullet, ripping through the quarter-mile in 10.02 seconds at 142.29 mph, while the Lamborghini trailed at 10.10 seconds and 143.41 mph, according to the Dragys in each car. Florida’s heat and high density altitude took its toll on both, but the Corvette’s launch was so sharp the Revuelto was playing catch-up.
Round two the Lamborghini found its groove. The hybrid system delivered instant torque and the all-wheel drive bit into the track. The Revuelto ran a 9.75 at 143.44, just ahead of the ZR1’s 9.95 at 149.75. Draggy data showed a close race: the Lambo’s 60-foot time was 1.50, just beating the Corvette’s 1.59. The Revuelto’s electric motors gave it a mid-range boost, passing the ZR1 as the finish line approached.
The third round was the one everyone was waiting for. Both cars launched side-by-side, the ZR1’s V8 roaring against the Revuelto’s V12 wail and the electric motors’ weird hum. The Corvette got ahead off the line, its launch control perfect, but the Lamborghini’s all-wheel drive wouldn’t quit. By the quarter-mile mark the Revuelto was in front, its hybrid power enough to outmuscle the ZR1’s V8. Times varied, the Lambo running 9.6 to 9.9 across the runs, the ZR1 always right behind.
