It’s not set for release until July 24, 2020, but Disney is giving fans a sneak peak at their upcoming live-action “Jungle Cruise” movie. As you might have already guessed, the film is based on the theme park attraction found in Disney theme parks around the world of the same name. Jaume Collet-Serra is directing the film, and it stars Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt, Jack Whitehall, Édgar Ramírez, Jesse Plemons and Paul Giamatti.
Unlike the theme park attraction, you won’t be just cruising down a river, but rather it’s set during the early 20th century. Not exciting enough? How about a riverboat captain named Frank that takes a scientist and her brother on a mission to find the Tree of Life, which is believed to possess healing powers, deep in the jungle. Along the way, they come across wild animals and even a competing German expedition.
