Ford Mustang Mach-E GT vs V8 Drag Racing
Most would think a Clive Sutton-tuned Ford Mutang V8 would be faster than the electric Ford Mustang Mach-E GT in a drag racing showdown, but the results may surprise you. The former is powered by a 5.0L V8 generating 490 hp and 391 lb-ft torque, while the electrified Mustang has a dual electric motor setup making 487 hp and 634 lb-ft of torque.

Yes, the Mustang Mach E-GT has more power on paper, but its 4,846-pound chassis is the one downside. Since the Mach-E GT does have 634 lb-ft of torque instantly right off the line, it does manage to pull on the V8 at the beginning of every race, especially with power being sent to all wheels. However, the V8’s significantly lighter weight (3,836-pounds) helped it in the end.
