Now it gets the celebration it deserves: American Icon: A Mustang Immersive Experience, which opens in Los Angeles on November 8, 2025.
You’ll enter this experience in downtown LA, where it runs through February 2026. It’s 60-90 minutes long and takes up multiple spaces with projection technology, physical car displays and interactive elements. You’ll walk through environments that recreate pivotal moments in the Mustang’s history. One of the highlights is a recreation of Ford’s Dearborn design studio from 1963 where the Mustang was born. The experience is all about the Mustang’s cultural footprint. The Highland Green Mustang GT from Bullitt, Steve McQueen’s co-star in that famous San Francisco chase, is one of the film’s iconic cars. Another display features the white convertible from Goldfinger, a nod to the car’s role in symbolizing American assertiveness on the world stage. Tickets are $25.50 and $34 on weekends. That’s a bit steep compared to the LA Auto Show’s $14-$21. But for fans, it might be worth it. The team behind this experience has done work on immersive exhibits like Jurassic World and are experts at combining tech with storytelling. They bring history to life, whether it’s dinosaurs in the rainforest or the Titanic’s grand staircase.
