Why settle for one EV, when the Kia PV5 concept can be easily transformed into several? It’s based on Kia’s Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) and has an interchangeable upper body. These ‘life modules’ can be connected to the base vehicle via a hybrid electromagnetic and mechanical coupling technology.
This means the PBV can be used as a ride share taxi during the day, a delivery van at night, and a personal RV on weekends. Its weldless body structure assembly means the length of moveable members can be flexibly adjusted according to vehicle use purpose. Put simply, Kia’s integrated rail system on the vehicle’s ceiling, floor, side panels, as well as on the exterior, allows for customization of the vehicle to meet individual customer needs.
