Lexus has always been one for big, bold moves but their latest is next level wild. Teaming up with tennis pros Jamie Murray and Laura Robson, the luxury car brand smashed two Guinness World Records in a bonkers display of automotive grit and athletic flair.
The setup was mental. Two Lexus NX SUVs, each with custom aluminum platforms bolted to their roof racks, racing down an airfield runway side by side. These rigs were stress-tested and then strapped with safety gear, turning them into rolling tennis courts of sorts.

Jamie Murray, a seven-time major doubles champion and Davis Cup winner, and Laura Robson, a former British No. 1 and Olympic medalist, were buckled in. Stunt guru Marc Cass, who’s worked on blockbusters like James Bond and Star Wars, was in charge. The result? A 101-shot tennis rally with one SUV hitting 29mph – pure chaos that required lightning quick reflexes and ice cold nerves.
Murray and Robson didn’t just do it, they made it look easy, even with the sheer madness of the challenge. “Pulling off something no one’s ever done and getting two Guinness World Records is a rush we’ll never forget,” they said together. “Tennis is all about precision, skill and teamwork – playing a rally on top of speeding cars?
