Lucid’s Gravity GT-S Turns the Family Hauler into a 1,070-Horsepower Statement

Lucid Motors rolled out the Gravity GT-S during Monterey Car Week, and the numbers alone demand attention. This three-row electric SUV makes 1,070 horsepower from dual motors and reaches 60 mph in a claimed 3.1 seconds. Lucid calls it America’s most powerful three-row SUV, and the claim holds against current rivals. The car sits between the more restrained Gravity Grand Touring and the extreme Air Sapphire sedan that inspired its attitude, delivering serious pace without giving up the space and comfort that define the Gravity line.

The same dual-motor configuration that was the highlight of the limited Dream Edition has been overhauled and repackaged as a standard production model, delivering screaming performance. This beast generates 1,070 horsepower and has a top speed of 155 mph. When conditions allow, Launch mode delivers full power, resulting in a silky smooth ride rather than a violent jolt. The estimated range is 373 miles, which is a fair trade-off for all that power and wider wheels when compared to the Grand Touring’s more conservative estimates. A 400kw DC fast charger can add 200 miles in around 14 minutes, and the native NACS connector allows access to Tesla Superchargers, Electrify America, and other charging networks.

Then there’s the handling, which is precisely tuned. Lucid’s Dynamic Handling Package is standard on all GT-S models from the factory. Independent rear-wheel steering assists with low-speed tight maneuvers while keeping the vehicle stable and on course at higher speeds. The adjustable three-chamber air suspension is continually in motion, lowering the body as speed increases for greater aerodynamics and handling while smoothing out the roughest road surfaces. As a result, you get a vehicle that’s much larger than it appears, grounded and responsive, yet nevertheless comfortable for passengers and whatever else you need to transport.


The performance cues are easy to notice from the outside, as the Gravity design remains familiar but with clear blue highlights to distinguish it. The brakes are finished in a matching blue, and there is a small blue bear snuggled in the center of each tire. Wheel sizes range from 21 to 23 inches, giving owners plenty of freedom to tone up or dial back the look to their liking. Overall, the shape remains low and sleek, keeping the killer aero that Lucid has built its entire name upon.




Inside, things become even more blue. The basic finish is Mojave PurLuxe Premium materials, with blue stitching and piping on the first and second rows, blue seatbelts, and matching stitching on the steering wheel, door armrests, and front center armrest. The steering wheel features a blue marker, and the Lucid Bear emblem is embossed on the front headrests. If you prefer conventional leather, the Tahoe option is available for an additional $1,300. However, seating for up to seven adults, a fold-flat third row, and lots of cargo capacity keep the GT-S firmly anchored in practicality, and with the same smart display and software platform as the rest of the Lucid line, existing owners will feel right at home.



The company began accepting orders on the day of the big unveiling, and the GT-S is now only available in the United States. Pricing begins at $125,900 before all extras, with the as-delivered price including the destination charge coming in at $127,750. That puts it solidly on the high-end while still undercutting the old Dream Edition, which is a tremendous coup for anyone looking for the highest-output gravity. Deliveries are scheduled for later in 2026.
