The much talked about Polestar 5 prototype made its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this week, and this four-door GT electric vehicle was developed in the UK. Its reportedly the company’s embodiment of their ambitions for design, technology, and sustainability, all rolled into one EV.

Power comes from a rear electric motor and a high-output front electric motor that generate a combined 884 hp, thanks to 800-volt architecture. It’s expected to launch some time in 2024, but pricing has not to be announced. On a related note, the Polestar 3 SUV is expected to go into early next year as the company finalizes its software for the new platform.

We love showing our latest prototypes to the public at Goodwood. With production now starting in the first quarter of 2024, it’s time for Polestar 3 to take its first-ever run up the famous Hill. The SUV for the electric age looks fantastic and will be an exceptional car to own. The latest Polestar 5 verification prototype is here, too. Developed in the UK, Goodwood is like home turf for our electric 4-door GT,” said Thomas Ingenlath, Polestar CEO.
