Porsche Tequipment’s all-new roof tent lets you camp in style, and it’s compatible with the 911, Macan, Cayenne, Panamera, as well as the Taycan, both with or without roof rails. Once expanded, there are two side windows that let you gaze out, while a roof opening that lets you see the stars at night.
Priced at just over $5,000 USD, it has enough room for two adults, as the floor surface measures 210 x 130 cm, complete with an integrated high-density polyfoam mattress. The tent walls are made of a breathable cotton blend, while water-resistant zippers and a separate rain cover for entry make sure you don’t get soaked during a rainstorm. Worried about insects? It has a built-in insect guard for protection against mosquitoes and an additional black-out function help keep the interior dark. Shipments are slated to begin in November 2022.

The Porsche roof tent can be set up quickly at the campsite. First, you open the lockable safety latches. Then, you lift the hardcase slightly and open it up with the aid of two gas pressure shock absorbers. The foot zone of the floor is then folded out and stabilized using the integrated telescopic ladder. By now, the tent is already unfolded. The last step is simply to erect the tent and make it taut with the four poles,” said the company.
