Audi is set to enter the world of F1 racing starting in 2026 using a specially developed hybrid power unit built in Germany. There are new technical rules that will go in effect from 2026 that focus on greater electrification as well as advanced sustainable fuel. Plus, a cost cap for power unit manufacturers will be introduced in 2023.
